I have been thinking of this quite sometime and i havent figured out the answer. I read on wow-professions.com that it is cheaper on some servers to use the cata herbs to down trade the inks to get some vanilla ones tbc and wotlk depending on the realm prices. And i can understand that BUT with that you dont get the pigments and then you cant get the first points when u make the inks. For an example. One ink u get 5 skillpoints in the beginning from creating them. But if you use the cata herbs and downtrade and get the inks u cant make them with the pigments since u dont have any.. How is that working out?

it depends on if u wanna farm all the continents to get vanilla mats, or if u wanna fly up and down uldum and only herb whiptail..

Your point is? You seem stuck on something that seems pretty irrelevant. Go with the cheapest option, but really xtramuscle has made the more pertinent point.
