I do that a lot too. I think I wasted over 2h of my DE:HR playthrough talking to you and/or Alai.

I don't regret it. I absolutely loved the game, but friends come first.

I sometimes tab out of games to check various forums as well, but that doesn't happen as much/often.

I miss the time where I could open a game, and suddenly look at the clock and 4 hours had passed without me even noticing.

Planescape Torment actually did that not so long ago, but looking away from that I haven't felt that since... Fallout New Vegas me thinks...

I put over 100h into Persona 3, Persona 4, the VN version of Fate/Stay Night, F1 2011/2 etc. each. But then I have odd tastes.

That's pretty much how I feel about books.

Tbh I think we just need a game to love again. Like World of Warcraft, where we considered it normal to numbercrunch your dps before bossfights, where we read forumdiscussions that were 10+ pages long just to see if haste trinket or crit trinket was best for your class, where you had to study ALL your enemies so you knew exactly what to do, or else you died.

If we can get a game that makes us want to do that again, we will realize that we never really threw our gamer senses away, they're just sleeping.

Unfortunally, it's you who's changing :/

All this rage we have for modern video games like CoD and Dragonage 2 is basicly just rage at ourselves because they did not live up to our expectations, built by years and years of playing some of the best games ever made. Games aren't changing that much. Think about it; If one is so mad at modern games and calling them kitty-friendly, what stops him from going back 10 years and playing the hundred of games from the 90's that are hard as balls?
