Realistically, all the villains thus far have been pretty elemental.
NMM was jealousy. Discord was chaos, and by far the best developed as a villain. Chrysalis was lust/gluttony, and fairly well developed. Now we have Sombra as hate/oppression. He didn't get much personality because his vices are everything society is not supposed to be, while the others are present in all societies to some degree.
