I've heard the books are good. I've only watched it, unfortunately, but from a movie-nerd perspective the series is pure gold. Better than that! Diamonds everywhere.

I tend to only use PNG if I want a transparent image. If it turns out it's too large as an avatar or signature, I will usually fill the transparent areas with an efeedc background and make it a JPG instead. It's worth trying.

If it's a relativity simple image png is often smaller than jpg anyway.
Not to mention no artifacts.

You can have PNG smaller than JPG, but it's pretty rare. It's usually better to see if you can get away with PNG first.
