You can either risk yourself and chug potion after potion or do no damage whatsoever. The mobs refuse to target the pet, regardless of what I set it to.

I've definitely heard of all of those but only MegaMan ever seemed good to me. And even that went down the drain eventually.
Kirby just never appealed to me. Some of the games were entertaining enough for the first 30 or so minutes, but that's pretty much it.
Pokemon doesn't count imo. If it did I would've put it above MegaMan.
Oh god, you're telling me.
My friend has a Super Nitendo, and I havent touched one in years.
My god, I must've had brilliant hand-eye quardination back then, because I used green mushrooms like they were lifesaver candy. Get it? Lifesavers... 1-ups... you eat them... and they're lifesavers... um... they have a misleading name... they in-fact give you... um, diabetus...

The only post-SNES era console that I own is a PS2, and I only have one game for it. I checked some playthroughs, streams and whatnot of all of the games that you mentioned though (in the past, not now) and none appealed to me.
And what's wrong with being picky?
Goodness freaking McGraciousson
