You take a nice cut of beef, lightly moisten the outside with some olive oil, add some high quality sea salt (I am a fan of pinch of Sel Gris with a pinch of Salish, an Alder Wood smoked sea salt), some fresh cracked pepper, and either some crushed garlic, or my favorite, freshly grated shallot....place on a hot grill until it is about 55C or 130F (Turning once during cooking) and let it rest, loosely covered with some aluminium foil, and there you have a PERFECT beef steak.
Yes, problem is due to throat/mouth issues I can't eat it any more (damn you to hell!) as it's either very difficult or impossible to swallow the way I like it! (send it to hell for 10 minutes, when it comes back, turn it over, send it back down for another 10 then when it returns, plate it up!)

A perfect cut, perfectly cooked steak really is one of the most delicious things on the planet.
Chicken > steak
easy choice for me
Hell, I'd even say eggs > steak

I always eat it well done, at the dismay of my friends and family who tell me that I'm ruining the meat.
Is the pope catholic? Of course. Steak made right is awesome!
I cook mine under the broiler or in a pan. In my opinion putting a good cut of meat on a BBQ grill should be a felony. BBQ is only for chicken, ribs, burgers, dogs, and mild Italian sausage. I also hate all hot sauces and steak sauces. I sprinkle my steak with a little seasoned salt, garlic or onion powder, and black pepper, then put it under the broiler and cook it medium. Not medium rare, medium, only the middle can be pink.
I love chicken too but beef is king. I'm not a big fan of fish but I love shrimp, lobster, and King Crab. I also like a nice pork roast or chops. I love lamb but it's too expensive these days. Basically, I like any kind of meat as long as it's not an internal organ. I hate liver. Greens you can keep. I only eat peas and sometimes green beans. Asparagus is the single most disgusting thing humans ever made into a food source, followed closely by broccoli, spinach , and cauliflower. I mostly have potatoes and corn with my steak. No useless salads either.
