Templars Verdict or Divine Storm with two targets?

Just as the title says. Specifically for the first boss in Mogu'shan. With two enemies stacked should I be trying to Divine Storm to cleave or would Templars Verdict be the best option?

I'm assuming Hammer of the Righteous over Crusader Strike, but again I don't know.

    Thanks for your input!

Hammer of the Righteous is pretty much useless with 2 targets. For being viable it requires 4+ targets. As for Divine Storm I prefer to use it versus 3 or more enemies. i havent done that much testing tho and some people say it should be used even on 2 targets. It is indeed really strong but so far im not convinced it is worth using it versus 2 targets.
    Hope this helps

I don't know, when it's two targets, I find a single target TV does a lot more damage in comparison.

Hello I hate to answer my own question, but the #1 Ret paladin on World of Logs for the Stone Guard fight (the one in question in the OP) used both Crusader Strike and Templar's Verdict in their kill.

    http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/4...?s=2411&e=2746

The second ranked Ret, using Divine Storm.

Out of the top 6 Ret paladins on this fight, 4 are using Templar's Verdict over Divine Storm

All are using Crusader Strike over Hammer of the Righteous.

Seems the finishing move is fairly interchangeable, since the two mobs are stacked. I was making a mistake in using my AOE hammer. 4 mobs or more you say?

    Thanks for the replies

Yeah, Hammer of the Righteous is fairly weak vs 2 targets. It is a dps loss if you use it over Crusader Strike. About Divine Storm debate vs 2 targets i cant say for sure since i havent done any maths on it. I prefer using DS if there are 3 or more enemies.

I think the numbers work out to be:

    Divine Storm with 2+
Hammer of the Righteous with 4+
    Seal of Righteousness with 6+

This is for overall DPS increase, obviously you should take in to account burst and focused DPS requirements too.

no offense but how does divine storm 100% weapon damage beats TV 275% weapon damage + X on two targets?

Both DS and HotR needs 3+ targets.

Basically Divine Storm is 100% holy damage again and is not affected by boss armor.

Divine storm is modified by Inquisition, increasing it's damage by 30%. It is also not mitigated by enemy armor (?) as stated below.

All I know is what I see on the logs, where going down the list from #1 to #10 ret DPS on Stone Guard shows people using either TV or DS.

If its two targets I keep on Truth but give both of them 5 stacks and use TV.

This will always vary by strategy as well, For instance we didn't ever have 2 together to cleave as we used a 3 tank method and made sure the target to kill was where it needed to be. so wol always missing that important factor it can't account for and that is guild strategy.

Divine Storm does more than half the damage of Templar's Verdict on a level 93 target with Inquisition up, even including Seal of Truth.

Divine storm is a dps increase when there are 2 or more targets.
