Upgrading graphics card

Im new with computers so I have very little experience and don't know very much. I have been doing research and have more of a understanding. So im looking to upgrade my graphics card, willing to spend 100-300$.


My computer specs are
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor6000+ 3.02GHz
Memory-2.0gb
32 bit operating system windows vista
motherboard- m2n-sli. Version-ASUS M2N-SLIACPI BIOS Revision 0901
PCI Express
550 w power supply

This was my first computer when i knew nothing and I rushed into buying it so probably not the best choices. I currently use NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT. I play wow and diablo3. I just want a card that can run wow on ultra if possible with my specs. I am not sure if thats how u list computer specs or if im missing something so if you need more info dont be afraid to let me know.

The 8500 GT is fairly low spec these days, but I'm thinking it's the CPU holding you back moreso. Unsure though, depends on your resolution; Which resolution do you run at?

1360x768 fullscreen is what i play wow at. 1920x1080 resolution for my pc.
