Thank you Blizzard for challenge modes

One of the best things that happened to the game in a long long time.
My guild achieved realm first Gold Conqueror last night and it was an amazing journey. Every dungeon was really hard, especially Brewery and Shado Pan. You need to plan every pull ahead, everything matters. Every stun, interrupt, cooldown, CC has to be planned. It's beautiful and I hope it stays that way. Getting gold in every dungeon is a feat not many will be able to obtain and I hope they don't succumb and make it easier.

Guild is Nightwatchers, Outland EU. In the end only our warrior tank got the individual realm first. We were racing against a horde guild for realm first so we changed setups here and there. If we had more time we would have few more people with realm first ach but we didn't want to take chances since it was close.

Wow this is cool. I hope this will become more recognizable race every time the new content is released. Congratz on your achi.

Reading this, I decided to check my realm's progress. We don't even have Silver on all dungeons yet.

Best thing about it that you will never be able to outgear it. Gear gets scaled down to 463 and set bonuses will be disabled upon entering challenge mode dungeon.

Loving challenge modes as well. Four guildies and myself and attempting them on our off days from raiding and we have got silver in Mogu'Shan Palace, Gate of Setting Sun, Temple of the Jade Serpent and Scholomance so far. We are just aiming for all silver first to get the mount really then try for gold after but I have to that of the 4 we have done so far, Scholomance is such an amazing challenge mode! Holy hell it was intense and I loved it!

Wait till you get to gold. My group got gold last night, was definitely a fun instance. Only Stormstout and Shado-Pan left for 9/9 gold

Challenge Modes are a resounding success.

They were indeed a great addition to the game, but in my opinion still lack one important aspect: difficulty. I was personally looking forward to them as difficult 5 man content, when in reality it was all about the clock rather than having to come up with strategies for bosses and progressing through the instances with your group.

Just my 2 cents as someone who's completed gold.

There is no way im going to sit and try to piss on the achievement because i think its amazing but isnt gold simply boiling down to skipping packs and MASSIVE aoe? I havnt done them at all, im just going by what ive been reading from people who claim to have done them with 4 dps and a tank. I just think that the use of invisibility pots etc is a bit of a cheesy thing that blizzard let in (they cant change it now obv or they would have to completely reset the minimum times). With invis pots you can skip most packs in the instance which kind of defeats some of the challenge along with it.

I have no idea what the bosses do or how hard they hit, but grats on your achievments.

Good thing to strive for, hope they dont decide to nerf them.

Congratulations, but may I suggest you post this on the Official Blizzard Forums? I'm sure they would appreciate the feedback!

I think we have one gold time and thats it lol. I believe we dont even have any silvers or bronzes in the majority of them either.

No. I've tried these dungeons and that is what you do for Bronze. The difficult can't be even spoken of. I would honestly consider myself a really, really good raider with a great set of skills, yet I totally did not expect them to be this hard. Bronze can be done by most people, and silver is a challenge, but Gold is just blisteringly insane.

As someone who have completed gold you would know that the difficulty comes with going for gold (and even low silver) It gets hard because you have to pull multiple packs and rush the entire thing. Imo they are perfect because even bads can do these instances if they have 5 hours to do it while the skilled people can do it in less than 30mins. The fact that you can CC most things is amazing because it lets bad groups clear the instances anyways.

To the person who talked about invis pots, they have a 10min cd which means you can use them once per dungeon in general. Additionally you HAVE to kill X amount of mobs in the dungeons so if you had 45min (just going for bronze) and wanted to skip all trash with invis pots you wouldnt be able to clear it anyways.

We've played a bit in them and got 3 bronzes, silver will be pretty do-able for us with tweaks, and some people we still far off the 463 ilevel. Gold is a bridge too far atm. I'm not sure I'm good enough / care enough. Silver is a good goal though and reachable.

Maybe I didn't come off clear enough: I was looking forward to them being essentially 5-man heroic raids with actual progress having to be done with each and every enemy inside of the instance. Also, I can tell you any competent group will have no trouble clearing gold even taking things a bit slower.

Competant is a relative term. When you judge people by your own high level of skill I think you will find a lot of people come up short.

If this is your armory http://www.wowprogress.com/character...r/Verees%C3%A0 then you are world 26 in tier 14 and just outside world 100 in tier 13. Thats a long way above "competant"

You can't do that. Invis pots have 10 min cd and you have to defeat most of the trash to be able to complete the dungeon. There's a counter for the amount of trash and you need to meet that requirement. In most of dungeons you can skip one pack, maaaybe 2. The rest you need to kill.

At least you have bosses like hoptallus that cock block 95% of "just competent" groups. I agree with you though in that I wished they would have given an extra 2 minutes per boss and made them like a 4-5 min raid fight. Although the current mechanics are some of the fights are pretty fun, they still seem too easy to get right.
