I wouldn't say the impulsive response to seeing a female is to think "I'd like to f*ck her"... For me, it's more of an objective (well, really, subjective-but-detached) rating of her attractiveness, as well as a possible itemization of what features I find attractive about her.

Should she score highly enough, then, yeah, my next thought might be "Yeah, she's f*ckable." Still doesn't necessarily involve the desire to act on that, however fleeting.

As for the 2nd question not really, I actually sort of had the opposite happen to me twice, I friend zoned 2 girls who asked me out... Don't ask me why, I was stupid back then. The rest of my female friends are just friends I see them as if they were my sisters.

That sums it up quite well for me too.

No, I do not see a random girl and think I'd like to fuck her. I don't even think that about sex symbols like porn stars. For me sex is inseparable from emotion, so that has to be there before anything.

As for men and women being friends.... that's a tough one. My friend's gf I consider a pretty good friend and wouldn't really consider her anything more. If she broke up with him, though, I'd absolutely sleep with her. I also don't ever see myself wanting to be friends with a woman instead of having sex.

In the male mind there's really nothing about being friends with a girl that throws up a wall stopping you from wanting sex. There does, however, appear to be one in the female mind.

To me, those differences are pretty irreconcilable. Unless I'm sleeping with one of her friends or have a gf.

When I first see a[n attractive] girl, my first thought is usually along the lines of: "Wow, she's attractive."
If she's not attractive, then I have no thoughts about them.

And from the amount of lewd and perverted comments by females on K-Drama streaming websites, I can say that girls are just as perverted if not more so than men... :P

I hardly ever look at women, or men, that way. It's rather rare that I see someone and instantly think of sex.

When I'm looking around and see a girl, my first general thought is, "is she attractive?". If no, I simply move on and don't think about her anymore. If the answer is yes, my next question is "would I have sex with her?". Usually if she's attractive the answer is 99% of the time yes. But I never plan on acting on any of those thoughts. I just think of it as, if I was at a party, and the stars aligned where I had the chance. I'd totally do it. But otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way to ever talk to her or any shit like that just because of the simple reason being I find her attractive and am interested in sex.

I don't think I ever thought about sex when looking at a person in my life. Except in intimate moments where the whole point was doing so in the first place.

Nope, I usually think I'd like to friend the hell out of her. Well, not actually I don't really think anything about random people I see that I don't know but if I did, I assume that'd be it.

My closest female friend is a lesbian, so there is no underlying want to have sex with her. I don't think she'd ever let her guard down enough to suddenly be straight either. I've met her girlfriend but never really talked to her much, she was telling me about her today and from what she said, I actually did think I want to friend the hell out of her. She sounds awesome.

And most of my other female friends aren't really my type anyway.

The way I see it, males and females, gay males/males, females/females, or any other combination of orientation or preference, cannot be friends unless:
    - Neither finds the other attractive at all
    or
    - Both(or one if above is true) are in a TRUE LOVE relationship [with someone else], only true love is immune to our baser needs

So a bisexual can't have any friends until he/she finds "true love relationship"?

Not if their friends aren't attractive to them, and vice-versa.

What I mean is that, being "just friends" is impossible for any parties that may find each other attractive.

we are animals. animals have the instinct to reproduce. when we were cavemen and even at the start of basic civilizations thousands and thousands of years ago, more often than not a child you had would die. the same goes for animals even to this day a lot die young. that's why some animals have litters of up to say 9 or 10 babies. humans have one child at a time, so a man, in order to have a higher chance of having an adult offspring, would seek many mates. a woman can only have 1 child at a time (except for the rare cases of twins and triplets), so women would not have that same innate sense of wanting sex. now even though we are thousands and thousands of years in the future, this remains prevelant because, hey...we are animals. it is what we are. even a hundred years ago there would be many times where children would die, again, causing families to become big (among other reasons, of course).

now we live in this "civilized age" (the term really sickens me tbh :/) where this act, which is nothing more than our own primal instincts and cannot be helped, and which is just a thought in a man's mind, is considered horrendous and an abomination in the eyes of many. for whatever reason.

want to know the funny part of all this? women are just as if not moreso sexually explicit in a large number of cases, if not nearly all, as men are. I forget where I read it but a study was done out of about 1,000 people, and more women than men (about 75% of women and 25% of men lets say) would say they absolutely had to have sex in their lives. the difference is women are much less vocal about it, and many men are given a horribly difficult time due to this.

simply put I'd bet that at least once or twice that lady friend of yours has had thoughts of sex with a very attractive guy she saw walking down the street. even if it was just a fleeting thought that came in for a split second and then left for good.

Rubbish. I don't even really know how to respond to that. I've been friends with people from both gender, who I find/found physically attractive.

I think it is in the male gene, males from a evolutionary perspective live to pass down their genetic information, the more he "seeds" the more chances that his genes will get past on. Whereas females due to their anatomy tends to chose the highest quality genes rather than quantity.

I'm pretty sure both men and women just want to fuck as much as possible. They just have different ideas of what makes someone attractive. Male standards are, on average, much lower. All a woman needs is a nice rack to get laid. For a guy it's more complicated.

But were you in a relationship when you had those friends?
And if not, you never once wanted more?

How could you not want to be more than "just friends" with someone whom you find attractive who shares enough common interests with you to be friends?
