    Need a new graphics card..suggestions?

I am needing a new graphics card. The one I have is about three years old and just is not cutting it anymore. I am looking for a 200-300 dollar budget. What is worth getting for my money.

7950 easily outclasses the 660 ti:

If that's too much, get a GTX 660 (non ti). They're around $230.
    i7-4770k - GTX 780 Ti - 16GB DDR3 Ripjaws - (2) HyperX 120s / Vertex 3 120
    ASRock Extreme3 - Sennheiser Momentums - Xonar DG - EVGA Supernova 650G - Corsair H80i

7950 @ the price out performs most gpu's on the market. Quite honestly it is just a 7970 thats being held back a moment.

i would like to mention you are recommending cards without knowing anything about his setup. Please give us a full list ( main parts are PSU/CPU to make sure your comp cant 1) handle the card power wise 2) are not bottlenecked by your cpu.) Also what screen are you playing on (resolution)?

If your comp can handle a card in the 200-300 range I personally would go for the 660ti, but the 7950 is also great option, but its a power hugnry mofo ( about 200w on load compared to about 150w on the 660ti) Also amd's driver support is pretty dire, nvidia tends to win out on that front. For pure power go for the 7950, but at stock both cards should perform similarly in games, AMD cards tend to have more raw power though. You wont really notice a difference. Also it depends on what games you play. Games like skyrim and bf3, nvidia card outperform amd cards in the same price range. Shogun 2 amd cards etc There are lots of different variables.

Honestly i am kind of a nvidia fanboy, but i would buy a 7950@300.00 or less, its a really good value. Only card in the AMD lineup i would purchase atm lol. Just remember if you mostly play blizzard games, nvidia plays them better than AMD. The gtx 660 (non ti) is the best value in the 600 series for 229.00, in a month this will drop to 200.00 or less is my guess.
