I must have mine as a mocha, preferably with milo. <3 Depends what I'm in the mood for though.

So this is how I do it:

The Bean: I currently buy Starbucks breakfast blend, full bean.

The Grinder: I currently use a fairly cheap burr mill grinder and grind fresh each morning.

The Coffeemaker: I use a French press.

The Method: Grind the beans on a coarse setting. Boil some filtered water. Let the boiled water rest for 1 min. before pouring onto the beans. Stir the water and the grinds, let rest 5 mins. Plunge and pour the coffee.

Additions: One scoop of brown sugar and some fat free half and half
Too each his own, SB breakfast blend is a weak blend and no flavor, that's my opinion though, try something more bolder like 8 o'clock or even a Colombian blend. The way your doing it sounds pretty good though, might add a pinch of cinnamon or ginger.

It's not so hard, it just takes a little spark

I'm venezuelan, so it is very easy for me to access high quality coffee, whenever I go back to my country I buy 2 kgs of colombian beans medium-toasted and that last me for 1 and a half years. I have my own grinder and a normal coffee maker.

btw starbucks is the worst coffee ever.

    1. Buy some high quality beans
    2. Grind them in my coffee grinder
    3. Put them in my Moccamaster and start it

Enjoy a perfect cup of coffee.

Dark-roasted quality beans and that's pretty much it.
