After reading around a bit, and being unable to post on the official wow forums (I HAVE NO CHARACTERS! GASP, WHAT AM I PLAYING RIGHT NOW?! MUST BE A MEAT POPSICLE!) I have to ask. Are PvP power gems better than flat stat gems? If so, Is being a JC even remotely worth it for pvp anymore? (starting to think its just kinda meh anyway)
Not sure about what class you play, it very likely depends on your class and spec - but for shadow and affliction locks pvp power is worth more than Intelligence.
Majority of PvPers are matching sockets thusly: int/agi/str+power, resil+power, power.
PvP power is a little better than primary stats, but not so much so that jewelcrafting isn't worth having. Jewelcrafting definitely got the short end of the stick and is the worst real profession for PvP, but the gems are still an upgrade.
