What Will Happen On November 7th, The Day After The Election...

November 7th. The day after the election. What are your predictions for this day?

Riots in the street? Business as usual? Overwhelming calls of voter fraud by whichever side loses? Blaming the loss on Hurricane Sandy? A complete mental breakdown by Sean Hannity or Chris Matthews? Will Nate Silver be banished? A too close to call election that drags on into December?

I'm incredibly excited for November 7th, not only because it signals the end of a relentlessly annoying campaign, but the media coverage and public reaction is going to be fantastic.

I predict massive claims of voter fraud, more than we've ever seen before (hidden camera style exposes will be plentiful). I predict massive claims of voter intimidation at polling places. I predict conservative pundits to have a mental breakdown on air if Obama wins, or a mental orgasm on air if Romney wins. I'm also predicting a Romney victory through Ohio/Virginia/Colorado.

Get your predictions in now so you can tell everyone how smart you are come November 7th!!!

Republicans warned civil war, but I don't know what day it's scheduled for.

I don't know what it is about this particular election, but it's going to be nasty regardless.

I foresee Obama winning a second term, however. But it'll be very close. And as you said, I definitely imagine there will be many claims of voter fraud, especially with the amount of money riding on these campaigns.

Maybe I was just too young to see it in the past or maybe this election is actually different, but it's just been bad vibes the whole way. It'll only get worse after.

If Romney wins, Cthulhu will descend, devour his brains, and begin his takeover of the world. If Obama wins, Cthulhu will descend, devour Romney's brains, and begin his takeover of the world. Either way, Romney's brains get eaten and we should prepare to welcome our new alien overlords. Or be eaten.

If Romney wins, war will break out across the globe, we're all fucked, sickness and famine will perpetuate.

If Obama wins, the other 194 (?) countries in the world will sit back and say "Good job guys!" and everyone will get a free unicorn and God will appear in the sky, get Obamas attention, wink at him and give him the thumbs up and Obama will do the same thing back.

    Riot is a strong word.
What happened to democracy? Majority of voters wins, regardless.

It seems redundant to wink and give a thumbs up, therefore, this whole scenario is unlikely...

Republicans sincerely won't break out civil war. Why? Because most Republicans would like to hang on to they're items. I truely cannot imagine them standing in the streets rioting. The left wing has a much much better chance of rioting because they have so much on the line. When you cut they're programs like Health Care taking billions of dollars to repeal the law that would given them access to better health care then you make up for the money by cutting services they depend on. It doesn't make you very well liked.

According to Chuck Norris it will be the apocalypse.

Personally, I think we should have a huge party. Because it will mean that Romney will never be running for a political office again. That is a reason to celebrate.

If Obama wins the right is going to cry about the imminent destruction of America.

If Romney wins the left is going to cry about the imminent destruction of America.

Meanwhile the majority will go about business as usual.

Im guessing the fraud things here. There's huge lines that take forever in my county and people are claiming that it's due to discrimination. The government even said that it would supervise the elections (and i think it should in every place where they ask for voter ids even though no law has been passed).

This is actually pretty funny because it's not necessarily true.

Gridlock. Democrats won't take the House. Severe long shot Republicans will take the Senate. The Presidential race will be close enough that the opposite party will claim there is no mandate and things will continue as they have since 2010. Probably better than average chances of legal wrangling in Ohio unless there are Romney upsets in Michigan, Wisconsin, or Pennsylvania. Maybe Florida or Virgina.

sounds like you just finished wtaching Skyline

I predict that there will be people predicting what the next 4 years will be like, and that these very forums will explode in a massive QQ fest because one part won, and another lost.

This is definitely going to happen. There are going to be many occasions of poll challengers asking for ID when its not necessary or legal.

If Romney wins, these forums will erupt in liberal QQ. If Obama wins, its likely that the conservatives will stay far away for quite a while.

Well, it obviously depends on the result. There's a very real chance of a split between the electoral vote and popular vote, and a very real chance of a recount. In either case, you can expect some serious tension (especially in the case of a recount). If Obama wins I think there will be quite a few people claiming the election was stolen; a large number of Romney supporters seem to believe the election's all but won, so rather than correcting their belief if it's wrong, they'll reach that conclusion. Some would do the same if Romney won.

Either way, I don't think much will really happen other than some whining.

    Were people aware.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is an international election-monitoring group that for decades has stood up to harsh regimes and violence in places such as Belarus and Kazakhstan in the name of free speech and democracy.

Is actually already in the United States. They will monitor election sights. This isn't the first time they arrived. When Bush Narrowly won in 2000 they were there. They have come to make sure no funny stuff happens this time around. I'm surprised that things could be so corrupt they would have to do this. They have recently expressed concern with Voter ID laws and I guess this time around they will be here to make sure everything goes as smoothly.
