    Talking I need help with a sound card and speakers!

    I need help picking out that best set for a cheap price. Right now I'm looking at these.

    Creative GigaWorks T40 Series II 32 watts RMS 2.0 Speakers.
    and
    Logitech Z506 75 watts RMS 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers.

    You don't need a soundcard for basic speakers.

    What's your budget and what do you want out of your speakers? Small speakers won't give you window-shaking bass if that's what you're looking for.

    Ok for starters avoid the Creative GigaWorks I had 3 pairs of them 3 PAIRS! and every one of them broke....faulty volume dial it used to crackle and pop when ever I touched the damn thing.
    The Logitech Z506 75 are good so I hear from other users but on the other hand lots say they have too much bass not enough clarity.
    If it is PC Speaker's you want get a good 2.1 system and there's only 1 that comes to mind the Corsair SP2500 other's will vouch these believe me these things are nice.
    They look a wee bit f-ugly but the sound is amazing

    As for the sound card you can't go much wrong with the ASUS
    My little brother had the exact same card in his machine it's a good solid card.
