As most people said, Trine & Bastion are both beautiful and amazing games, I kinda liked the ambientation from Deus Ex: HR, but it might not be as artistic as you may want it to be o:
I really enjoyed a lot of the artwork put into DE:HR. I honestly think it was a visual piece of art, and perhaps more than that with the way its story explored the themes of transhumanism, capitalism, globalization and the ethics of science.

I'm not sure artistic is the right term that you are looking for. Perhaps philosophical or even existential themed games is what you are looking for. I actually think Deus Ex: HR can somewhat fall into that category.
As far as just artistic games, the aforementioned Trine 1 & 2 are perfect examples of that.

Spec ops: the line (this game SHOULD turn into a movie with many many oscars, just buy making a let's play and publishing it on DVD, I'd buy it ^^)
