RSPCA is the Royal Society for the Protection against Cruelty to Animals. Doesn't really roll off the tongue I know. Basically it's almost like the NHS for animals, and it deals with re-homing them too.

They do good things and bad things but there are better animal rights groups that put more of the money you donate into actual animal care.
If I were going to donate to an animal rights company I'd donate to this one.

It pays to do research on this as the big Chartys also happen to be the ones that are more likely to spend the money you donate on advertisements or inflated employee Salarys.
