Yeah, but approximately how long does that take? It's pretty much worthless otherwise.

I made my Pichu hold a Soothe Bell, then leveled it normally (with Exp Share) to 13 where it evolved, which is also a friendship-based evolution. So for that one at least, not long at all, but I don't know how that compares to others.

Level 31 (I got it at 25), and it's happy, indicated by the fact it moves toward me during the animation when I use items on it. Still hasn't evolved.

"High friendship" is not very certain to determine when it evolves. And if using items on it reduces friendship, then I'm never ever going to evolves it.
