Meh, videogames are an easy scapegoat to latch on to, but nothing's ever successfully correlated between videogames and violence, ever.

Haven't kids been playing games like cowboys vs. indians and the like, loooong before video games.

These studies have already been made. This is nonsense.

When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these?! Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

Stupidity represented in the following image sickens me. World would be better off without ignorant people like them infecting our gene pool.

Of course he's absolutely correct because clearly there were no serial killers or psychopaths prior to the launch of the video game industry.

Silly. Violence in video games and movies are a response to the violence of our society. It's not the cause of anything, ITS THE EFFECT. Once again everything is upside down, inside out in peoples heads.

You wanna know what kills people? Bad parenting.

Video games and movies seem to be the thing to blame these days. Don't get me wrong, I think they do have an affect on certain people but for me these people have something inherently wrong with their head in the first place for these mediums to trigger or heighten the thirst for horrible things. Millions of people play video games every day without any sort of real horrible thoughts.

People need to take responsibilty for their own actions.

poor mental health care and media outlets making these murders out to be antiheroes are the leading cause of school massacres. The media has been told again and again what not to include in their reports of school massacres yet they keep doing it without any negative repercussions.

I say bring it on. BRING IT!!

Then they will see that violent videos actually reduces incidents of violence rather than promoting it because of its general therapeutic value. Also people will come to realize that people playing violent video games are not plotting planning scheming mass murder either because that would take time away from playing.

I have already know of a few cases of people I know in which the escapism of video games had helped them get through some rough patches in their lives with one particularly exception case.

I am not personally religious but most people aren't driven to this point unless they feel that life is totally hopeless. We as a society are moving away from religion and while that does has its positives I am afraid more and more incidents like this will be more and more prevalent. It is not coincidence that all this is going down during this time of economic upheaval.
