Oh yeah, I've always called the whole creation LotR (or Middle Earth but I'm too lazy to type)... never really thought to call it as Arda, blanked for a second when I first clicked on the thread XD

Arda isn't mentioned in any of those. You need to read more of his writings to get that name.
LotR and the Hobbit while the most... Story litterature Tolkein wrote was by far the least descriptive of the world he created.

Warhammer 40k closely followed by the Fantasy World.

Space Elves that fly around the galaxy homeless on Spaceships the size of worlds, yeah that boss.
Dudes that drop from orbit in a metal capsule into a firefight wearing 3 inch think power armor, with a gun the size of a child, tearing shit up.

Also Dark Elves and Dark Elder are basically the most awesome 'Elves' of all Fantasies, followed closely by Mirkwood/Lorien/Rivendell Elves.

Well if you want to be a -strict- Tolkienist, all of creation would be called Eä. Arda refers only to the part of that which is the appointed dwelling of the Children of Illuvatar.
