Soon ending PvP Season?

So with the confirmed PTR announcement of 5.2 in early January, does that mean the PvP season is ending and beginning the new one a week later (after official release)? Of will we continue with this current season through this next raid tier? Has anyone heard if they are implementing their new MMR strategy since they aren't resetting them anymore.

So with the confirmed announcement of 5.2 in early January,

uhm.. you pretty much missunderstood the announcement. they said the PTR is coming in january. not the actual patch. relax.. you still have a couple of months.

I'm fairly sure the season will end when 5.2 arrives, which won't be till march-april
Otherwise the next thing we'll see is the top of the ladders filled with warriors using 5.2 weapons..

I'm guessing we won't see the actual patch until some time in February or March. It would surprise me a great deal if they didn't start a new season then.
