Aww man yeah, that's a great film. Maybe I'll put it up now since I'm bored anyway and don't think the missus has seen it yet!
    Brilliant piece of comedy.

Was an easy choice for me, seeing as I'm a big fan of Leslie Nielsen!

The great thing about this movie is that it is entirely made up of great one liners. Every damn piece of dialogue is a en epic quotable piece.

Get a grip man! It's CHEESE!

I think I like to many movies for this. I have certain genres and a movie that falls within that genre I'm pretty much guarenteed to like. And then a movie that falls outside that genre I'm probably going to like too, tbh. Though less consistently.

Probably the big one is rise of the planet of the apes, haven't really seen that mentioned at all since it came out so when I watched it I thought it wasn't going to be good because no one had mentioned it recently but it was great. I bought planet of the apes (remake) because I wanted a sequel to the movie, although I have not seen it yet I think there is room for a movie between those two.

What is Airplane doing in this thread, it's considered a comedy classic...

I really didn't enjoy Children of Men. I can't understand what's so good about it. Everyone raves about how great it is. Same with Oldboy.

I'll go with the OP on this one. Pan's Labyrinth is my #1. Also The Good, The Bad, The Weird, is good if you're into korea movies.

The Good, the Bad, and the Weird is much fun. That said, I'd take Oldboy over it in a heartbeat. Oldboy against I Saw the Devil though, and that's another story.

I'd say of all the movies I have in my top 10 list on a consistent basis, the one that people say they've never heard of is The Legend of 1900. I love it, you may not, that's okay! =)

127 Hours. One of those known films but not one that people will talk about. An excellent film although it's more of a character/situational study that focuses on the efforts of one trapped boy trying to stay alive and keep sane knowing that he is facing deaths door. All the main footage past the first 20 minutes is from his cameras FoV in one spot.

The Gamers and The Gamers: Dorkness Rising for me. 2 minor films that every tabletop gamer should watch.

Didn't read the whole thread, but even if this movie has been mentioned, It deserves to be mentioned again.

Idiocracy. A movie a fair portion of the posters on this forum would fit in with quite easily.

    Cuz it's got electrolytes.

Yes! The action in this movie was incredible. It makes me think back to the Batman Trilogy, while I loved it as well, but the fighting in those movies is always so stiff and goofy and scripted looking. The Raid was so fast paced and insane, I don't know if I'd call it realistic exactly, but just far more exciting. Hard to follow even at times. I guess that's to be expected from an Asian martial arts style action movie.
