But one could argue that the character is "aware" of the fact that they were after a specific part of the animal, so you'd think avoiding hitting said area would be of great importance?

so by that theory frost mage would have 100% drop rate on quest items? freezing wouldn't ruin anything, and fire mages would be stuck on quests forever!
