This is a teaser, not the trailer. They've done this before: released a teaser showing off the new models and environments, then released a story trailer.

The pterodactyl mounts are using proto drake animations / Firehawk is the only thing bothering me -.-

It's a modified skeleton. Some of the animations are different. In particular, the pterrordaxes don't rest on their wings in their idle animation, and don't use them to ambulate in the walking animation. Somewhat like this.

It is. There's a cutscene with him in it.

It's just not updated. I think they did the Teaser maybe..right before Christmas? And waited until now maybe to release it?

I really hope that they decide to make the new devilsaur wb drop himself or a variant of himself as a mount but so far there is no sign we are allowed one in the files.

Haha, when I saw this post, I immediately suspected people would be bashing Blizz from the first comment on, it obvioulsy said TEASER trailer. I guess people just want to use every opportunity they find to nuke Blizz.

and for those people who are smart overall, could've already guessed that every Trailer launches like 1-2 days before the patch itself.

No. The model datamined is the new Thunder King model. He's even labelled the Thunder King in the gamefiles. This video may have just been made prior to his model being completed.

Not all of the animations are the same. For example, the walk animation is different, and it doesn't use its wings (see the diference):

Ok, I feel like saying this, This isn't the patch trailer - it is the patch teaser.

They do this for almost every raid patch - show off the scenery and a few monsters or bosses. It's just to get the actual look of the areas out there for people to get interested. The *LORE* trailer comes out a few weeks afterward.

Sorry for quoting jaylock on this when there are so many equally clueless people posting the exact same comment. Just wanted to grab the first clueless person I saw.

If anything, this teaser is an indication that the actual trailer will contain a great deal of story content, like the Firelands one did. It's showing off a lot of scenery, previewing the regions you'll be stomping around in, leaving the trailer to focus on the storyline and characters. Rather than, say, the Dragon Soul trailer which was all gameplay content preview.
