Was just saying science isn't always right.
But yeah, innocent until proven guilty and all that.

It isn't by the way so much that science is often proven wrong. On a bigger level it's just often shown to be incomplete.

Take Newtonian mechanics. Works perfectly fine until you get to either very small or very large scales, needing Quantum mechanics and General Relativity respectively to expand the theory of motions. Doesn't change the fact that Newtons theories on the motion of objects is perfectly valid for our everyday needs.

Once upon a time they thought the earth to be flat.

The only time anyone who could be declared an intellectual thought the world was flat was before the rise of Greek civilization. Very early during the rise of the Greeks, they postulated it was round, and calculated the Earth's diameter to within 5% error. That info spread to every civilized nation rather quickly.

Most of the other cultures had no scientists or no real theory on the shape of the Earth. So, to say that science once thought the Earth was flat is mostly false.

Yes, but science changes its view to support the evidence available at the time. That's the important part.
