Not considered practical to go after commissioners and on top of that, it's a much more murky realm of litigation. I imagine they'd have something to say if someone say, tried to commission a comic and then tried to sell it.

Pretty sure the IDW comic is approved by Hasbro. They are a legit publisher and one of the bigger ones.
