Suddenly the whole "Discord being reformed" becomes very interesting, if you know what I mean.

New episode stuff:

I hope we see him more. As a casual background character. Just need that attitude to liven up the show sometimes.

All in all, not as great as I was expecting. That tends to happen when I go in with high expectations, that's why I rarely do it. This is kind of like the origin story for superheros. It's more boring because you have to get to the point where they're really cool. Discord now has free reign to be himself ("legally" at least), and so future appearances may make for good moments. I'd like to see him interact with Pinkie Pie.

Though it still raises the question. Isn't he the embodiment of disharmony and chaos? He must only be a powerful sprite (for lack of a better word) than anything else, or it doesn't make much sense. I can't really come up with a comparison from the show, or anywhere else, but he must not be an entity so much as just some mischievous little guy. And, if so, where is the REAL embodiment of chaos? That could prove an interesting future plot device. Discord has to help the ponies beat the real chaos entity.

Nah. Did you hear the whispered "mostly"? He's still someone that needs to be watched, and he obviously still has his own agenda. And his power can't go in check all the time. He's gonna be incredibly annoying and mischievous, and it could make for good moments in future episodes.
