Seems like that Pinkie was always makeing the people laugh and forget everything bad and since Fluttershy couldn't handle it, they got mad.

You just countered yourself. They thought they've been doing their wrong destinies, but that doesn't mean it actually was. Theire personalities were swapped, not their history itself.

They thought they were doing what they were supposed to be doing and that they were just really bad at it, hence why none of them left it despite messing up every other thing.

That is a good point actually. Not only did the spell change 5 of the mane 6, but seemed to change damn near everything that was linked to the cutie marks.

Would explain why the Apples didn't ask WTH Applejack had vanished to... They were also under the impression that AJ was supposed to be a seamstress not a farmer.


And since I know it got over-looked as a ninja edit:

This was a really good episode, even when its a bit too much singing for my taste,but that it is cured so fast, i was sure there would be more "work" for her, more to understand first, not just suddenly popping up in her mind, but maybe thats what a princess need: fast and safe solutions for a problem.

It's episodes like these the bring out the obvious flaw of forced 22 minute time constraint. Longer episodes would have yielded a better flow to the story (more time to realize the problem, more time trying to fix the problem, more time celebrating the results of the solution.) Should have been a two-parter, imo.


But that's why I'm not an animator. Crazy ideas like quality > time constraints.

I only have one question about the episode...

How did Vinyl end up at a Fluttershy party in the first place? If she'd been at it for years, as suggested by their lack of memory about their lives prior to the spell, then she would have earned a reputation for being a bad party host, therefore eliminating the chances of a party VIP of Vinyl's status showing up in the first place.

HA! Take that new episode! I just found the ONE glaring problem in the whole episode and I will now focus all of my attention to pointing this problem out to everyone in the world.

It wasn't that they were mad because of Pinkie's change alone.

Anyway...

The weather was terrible. Everypony's pets were miserable and angry. Food supplies were low. Fashion had hit an all-time low.
The reason they needed Pinkie was because Pinkie Pie was the ONLY pony that could have had any chance of cheering the town up after that disaster.

But if they were only doing it for a few days, at least that is what it looked like in the show, then why were the apple trees suddenly shriveled up? Now it could be a montage trick easily.
