It takes me at least an hour to get a decent sketch with non-shitty proportions and that don't look deformed, even with how relatively simple ponies are to draw. And several hours after that just to do my lazy-ass lineart/coloring/cel-shading done.

Honestly, I just need practice more than anything. My fundamentals are basically all self-taught and admittedly pretty shaky, since I tend to draw one thing to completion instead of doing lots of small sketches/projects.

Luckily, after much 'convincing', I managed to get Aryd to allow me to use him as my pillow willingly.

You sure you're not up for it? I'm sure there are a few pointers I can give, at least for drawing ponies, that you haven't thought of.

Plus, I'm starting to think people aren't taking me seriously when I say I enjoy helping people with drawings. Seriously, it's really fun for me and actually motivates me to draw as well, so I always want to encourage it from people who think they're a bit shabby with it. I mean, constructive criticism and help is always more useful than simply saying "I/you just need practice".

I'm primarily self taught as well, but it was so nice to have an art class for once last semester where I had a teacher I could just talk to and discuss things. I always feel somewhat proud that I pushed myself to get to where I am, but being able to discuss these things with a teacher in a more one-on-one fashion is one of the best experiences I could of asked for when I took the class.
