I probably could have been in the other advanced classes too, but I was always terrible at the written portion of the test they had for them. I'm kind of glad though. I wasn't a fan of either English or Social Studies back in grade school, and I had some fun classes in the non-advanced science class (I actually turned down switching to the advanced version at one point) since I tended to have at least one of my friends in each of them.

Well, whatever floats you boat :P.

Getting that pen all over the side of your hand as it drags across the paper.

This is why I write with a pen, not pencil. Otherwise, I always smudge the paper with my hand. It's easier to see and it slides better when writing with a pen, too.

Holy cow it's a family of left handed people.

Only my best friend is left handed and honestly he is probably more ambidextrous than left handed.

I know a lot of people who are left-handed. I think I know 10 or something. Actually, I think around 16% of people in this country write with the left hand. Not sure, though.

But I'm not completely left-handed, I can do some things with both hands.

Some of them have handles designed specifically to be held comfortably in the right hand. When I was in elementary school all the scissors were like that.
