I've decided I despise Win8 and it's a steaming pile of shit. The UI is god awful and you have to do all sorts of idiotic keyboard commands because there is absolutely no other sane way to do anything.

I figured this out while trying to unsuccessfully get my mkv files to work on a new laptop. It's a fairly good laptop but CCCP refuses to work properly with it and has all sorts of playback errors, random pauses, screen tears, and audio/video desync. Tried KCP and the same thing happened but not as bad. Tried VLC and the screen just started tearing like crazy.

Everything hates me I give up.

4GB DDR3 RAM
500GB HDD
Win 8

Even the older (now broken) laptop could run 1080 BD just fine but this can't even render a small fight scene or an OP/ED without lagging like crazy.

Buh, I guess. 1.3GHz processor. Any ways you know to fix it and have it actually play the file? With the old laptop I had slight pauses in OPs and EDs sometimes if the subtitles were flamboyant but that was fixed with updating CCCP. Can't think of anything with this.

No. Your processor is a low power processor meant for long battery life. It 'can' play video, but not anything BD / high res.

i'm actually not sure about the technical details, the project's mad scientist (trulte) was in charge of making it work..
i know we stored them in little shards for later use, though. obviously.

i also remember some of the individuals in question stating things like "totally worth it!" and "best deal ever!" after having received the gift.
