Legs or arms?

So if you were forced to either go without your arms or legs for the rest of your life which would you choose and why? Also, for the sake of making things interesting, you would not be able to get prosthetic legs or arms for reasons unknown.

Being a drummer, I hate the idea of losing both.

And don't give me the "that one dude drums without one of his arms and legs!" story, I've heard it and I don't want it!

Legs. I can live a somewhat normal life without legs but if i have no arms i can't really do anything.

Legs. You can ride a wheelchair or even walk on your hands if thats against the rules. You cant grab and hold things easily with your feet. It would also be hard to take care of yourself without hands, type, drive, lots of other stuff.

If I lost my legs, it'd be traumatizing but I'd probably get over it.

If I lost my arms, I'd try to convince someone to kill me. BUT given how advanced bionics and transplants are getting, losing your arms might not be such a horrible ordeal. A soldier had a double arm transplant recently and now can do basic things. Another man had two hand transplants. And there were TED talks about prosthesises that can actually be controlled by the mind by attaching the arm nerves to the pectoral muscles and then using electrodes to read the signals that the brain sends to the pecs to tell the arm what to do. Was amazing.

If I can commit suicide, legs. If I can't commit suicide, arms. I think a woman might still have sex with an armless man, but a guy who's missing the lower half of his body? Probably not. That would be like having sex with a crawler zombie.

Legs. Both are incredibly useful and though people born without arms have learned to use their legs as arms, arms are simply more useful...as sucky as it is, a wheelchair can supplement for legs to a certain extent and you can at least get around that way...tons of people already have to do that for one reason or another. And, yeah, you could still sit on your ass and play games with your arms.

I do think prosthetic limbs have already come a long ways and give it another 10 or 20 years and I think people that lose or are born without limbs will be able to live completely normal lives.

Legs. I don't use them for anything more than moving around the house and getting to and from school. My arms I use for gaming though, so yeah.

I'd rather lose my legs, purely because the job they do is overall less complicated then what my arms do.
