So today I discovered some 4k videos on YouTube... needless to say I'm watching them on a screen with 1440x900 resolution, so the quality is a bit diminished, regardless, the quality is amazing, and it takes forever to load the video and makes my laptops video card go into overdrive.
To start off discussion, when do you think we'll see 4k displays and broadcasts be widespread/mainstream? I would like to see it happen within the next 5 years. The only problem I see with it becoming truly widespread is most common internet users only pay for minimum speeds, and with resolutions like these, internet data speeds will have to rise to support it.
