on gamefaqs.com there was a guy complaining that he lost his staff when he died on D3... but the real reason he raged was because he dropped $70+ on it in the RMAH.
....now, imagine how much money people would carelessly spend if it were in wow.
terrible idea as long as the game has a sub fee.
really just a terrible idea.

I'm not sure if you noticed but PVP is going into the next patch. And, yes, talk to what few remaining D3 players there are - there's MANY who are planning on playing it competitively, regardless of the Dev's saying it's "just for fun".
Also, Diablo has ALWAYS been competitive - in the ego-trip mind. The SAME mentality behind WoW. The idea that "I have better gear than YOU!"
Nah. It's a crappy idea, and I honestly don't see it doing too great in D3 despite a few lunatics who have stolen credit cards and ruin the system for anyone.
I don't think it'll carry into WoW.
If it does. I'm out. Bailed. Gone. No fuss, no mess, it just goes against the directions I want the game to take. There are some minor things I'll overlook but.... that's a baaaad bad idea.
I have eaten all the popcorn, I left none for anyone else.
it wouldnt work in WoW. they would have to completely change how gear works for it to even remotely work the same. diablo doesnt have much (if any) soulbound gear while WoW is built around it.
crafted gear isnt good enough to warrant people spending real money on (imo) and even if blizzard put the gear up themselves it wouldnt be an AH anymore and would just be an item shop
Oh God no. I can only hope they've learned their lesson from D3.
I'll be honest here... an RMAH minus subs would actually bring ME back to WoW, regardless of my hatred of CRZ. Even if I made $15 a month for playing, it still mathematically 30x better than paying $15 a month to play. :P

The day they add RMAH to WoW is the day my sub ends permanently. Hopefully they never do.
Dont see how this can work or be good for wow
No thank you; pay to win systems are awful.
Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.- Thucydides
There is a modern myth that people have always tended towards democracy, constitutions, electoral rights; but in truth, love of freedom has never been the predominant note of popular politics. At most times, popular demand has been for a strong government.- Eugen Weber
Does that help any?
