    Tracking specific ICD.

    Hi guys

I've been trying to setup a timeline with the ICD on all our proc's. My current setup is one bar pr. ICD using WeakAuras, but I'd rather have a single timeline with all the ICD.

I've tried using Raven, but for some reason I can't seem to be able to track the lightweave proc, Jade Spirit and the Inner Brilliance from Light of the Cosmos. I've checked everything external cooldown, trinkets etc.

Another question, is it possible to setup WA to track when your next soulshard is generated(out of combat ofc)?

    Any Ideas?

Not sure if it has the ability for timeline, but i use the ExtraCD addon and is quite handy.Maybe give it a shot

I had an addon that did that. Pretty sure it was Forte Xorcist.

ExtraCD is just an icon bar if I remember correct?

FX is just a pain to setup, and I only want the ICD tracking.

Yes ExtraCD has icons for sure, but cant login now and check if it has the option to change it into something else, sorry.
During Cata I had an addon named Buttontimers. You could make bars with clickable buffs(you could use keybindings too), and it has the ability to make timelines above or below them, tracking duration or cds.I think it might had the ability to track ICDs too but not sure about it.Or even if it still supported

NeedToKnow will be able to do it, but I think you need to know (if you do not already) that enchants has a new proc system that makes tracking ICDs highly unreliable.

Before it used to be a downright cooldown before the proc could occur again, and if this was the case today, what you're trying to create would be a reliable system that'd work very well. However, this is not the case. With the release of MoP, they revamped the way enchantments work, and it is now something called "PPM" - procs per minute. This effectively means that you cannot reliably expect it to be the same duration between each enchantment proc. Jade Spirit has a PPM of 2, meaning that you can get 1 proc per 30s in average. Since average doesn't translate to exactly every 30s, you'll also be facing the extremes - meaning your Jade Spirit can proc as often as twice in 6 seconds (thus overwriting your first one), and not proc again in at least 40 seconds. And as such, your ICD timer will be off. I guess you could offset this by making an inverted timer counting down from 30 which is resetted on a new proc, where you know that the closer to 0 you get, the more likely it is for you to see a new proc.

tl;dr - tracking ICDs won't work the way you want it to for Jade Spirit.

Hmm sounds reasonable, but all trinkets should be trackable?

That's what I've read as well, however - upon testing it myself I saw relic proc somewhere in the mid 40s too, so I believe that has the same cd as lotc. I need to do more thorough testing before I can conclude it though.

When you want to know an ICD you can check in Simulationcraft code, and more specifically in sc_unique_gear.cpp which is accessible here (left click, no need to DL it) : http://code.google.com/p/simulationc...nique_gear.cpp

Then ctrl+f and type the name of your trinket (with _ instead of spaces), for example essence_of_terror. You will have the proc value (heroic/lfr/normal), the proc chance, the proc duration and the icd.

Oh man you are the first person to explain PPM in a way a simple farmer like me can understand!
    Thank you my kind sir!

PPM annoys me. I play Destro a lot now, and not knowing reliably when I have an ember dump coming up just annoys the crap out of me. LW/Relic I track with NeedToKnow, and use colored bars to track the time between when the ICD is up and when buff ends. Basically, if I see color, I don't cast CB.

For a single bar, I used to use FortX, but the bar has a ton of overlapping icons depending on what you have it set up for, and the more I'd limit what was tracked, the more it would exclude things I had no intention of not tracking. I gave up on it and went back to NeedToKnow. It's been far more reliable, but it does take up more screen real estate. I personally find it worth it, though, especially with proc management being such an important part of all spec's play.

Anyone got some ICD auras on weak auras for Jade Spirit, Lightweave, Inner Brilliance, Relic of Yulon. I got all 4 auras but I have no idea how to config for ICD.

Same type of question as David here except I use need to know to track my buffs. My questions is - how do I get needtoknow to track the ICD of those buffs? Right now I kinda just guesstimate in my head but having it shown would be much more helpful.

    Thanks

Right-click a bar -> Bar Type -> Internal Cooldown, now some new settings appears. -> Internal Cooldown Settings -> Cooldown Duration, in here type the ICD in seconds. -> Choose buff/debuff to time... Enter the name of the buff/debuff here.

You're done. You can go to Time Format and change to MM:SS too since it's a bit easier to see.
Also change the colour of the bar etc.

The ICD for Inner Brilliance is is 45 seconds.
The ICD for Relic of Yulon is 50 seconds.

If you want to track the ICD of Relic of Yulon you need to type in, Choose buff/debuff to time, Blessing of the Celestials.

There is no ICD on Jade Spirit as it uses PPM, which Alarinth explained GREAT abit above.

I find my solution. I would never go with needtoknow, since all it can do WA can do better. For tracking ICD on the same timeline I went with ForteXorcist, which is poorly updated, so I did not have the ICD of any of the trinkets in the current tier, but after a quick modification of the code in the cooldown lua file, is it workering perfectly.

Thanks Thelm I'm not at home atm can you confirm if it's bars or icons? I'm using icons, I'm not a big fan of bars.
