Even the manufacturer's site lacks info on the static pressure. Although it's not hard to tell those aren't meant for a radiator. :/

Pretty sure 2x of Corsair's SP120 static pressure fans would provide better performance in comparison to 4x of those SilenX LED laden fans. While costing somewhere around 1/2-2/3 the cost of the pricetag of the SilenX fans.

jholdaway, you don't look at CFM values for radiator fans. When it comes to a rad you want to look at mm-h20(static pressure) values. Fan's aren't designed for both unfortunately.

The better choice would be to get proper fans for a radiator and then add a LED-strip or so after. I don't see the point in spending $120 on a cooler and then outfit it with suboptimal fans.
It's just obvious to see the gap between each blade, how shorter the better :P

Why would you recommend those fans while the stock fans which comes with the H100i are better?

    It was an observation.

I haven't even looked into the specs for the fans on the h100i. I just know people purchasing the damn thing keep replacing the stock fans with very poor fans.

The stock fans on H100i are pretty good but they make too much noise at high speed.

In the linus video, that was provided to you, he explains how to look for it. Look at these radiator type fans, and then look at yours.

notice the large fins, with little opening between them. That means less air blowing back out of the fan the wrong way when it hits a resistance, like a radiator.

How well would a pair of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835553001 work with the radiator?

wouldn't that one be smaller vs the x60? (surface area wise?)

No, those are also casefans. Try the Corsair SP120

I dont think that matters as much, as to how the radiatior fins are build. But the h220 looks really interesting. Plus its an awesome starting point for a full loop in your computer, and pretty cheap aswell compared to the kits from EK.

Sadly there are no Noctuas or Scythe GT in that test.

There is also this fan review http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/coo...est-case-fan/1
Gives a wider range of fans tested. Thinking about going with a couple Gentle Typhoons.

The GTs are excellent fans, I would suggest you go for the 1850RPM model so you have a option to crank them up a bit if needed.

    H80i outperforming H100i -_-
I've seen allot of that lately. Review sites rarely know wtf they're doing. Or really stumble at explaining anomalies.

I assume it has something to do with the push/pull config with a thicker rad on the H80i compared to H100i's 2 fans? Perhaps something went wrong with the mounting or similar. Either way i agree the testing isn't as solid as it could be.
