A guy from this site invited me yesterday to do the weekly heroic strike and I was expecting it to be level 22 but in the end the mobs where level 28 !! I did it on my level 25 hunter and the other 2 guys where 27 and 26 and to be honest it insane. Every shot was basically a one-shot.
This also caused me to think about my current Bladedancer setup which is heavily melee focused with shotgun and so on. I don´t think that this is viable in harder content like raids or something because getting into melee range is a guaranteed death (unless you quickly run up with arc blade and invisibility).
What do you guys think about Bladedancer in harder content? Should I focus on grenades and stealth (range) rather than punching mobs with blink strike? Because after that experience yesterday I came to the conclusion that bladedancer is a very viable support class with invisibility to run out of cover to resurrect rather than meleeing enemies and thus hassling your group even more (cuz you die)
Going to stream some pvp if u guys want to check it out. Feel free to ask me any questions in the chat.

<3 it was fun doe :P and them 9 strange coins! I even had to change out my generally better legendary weapon for a blue scout rifle due to the range it provided once I realised at 28 with that extra arc damage (that's why you were getting one shot) staying in sight long enough with the auto-rifle wasn't viable and potshots with the scout rifle ended up being better. But yes, I'd recommend getting used to a stealthier/grenade focused build with high burst output to take down captains and other shielded enemies as well as you mentioned those revives on me 100000 times especially during that last boss (fuck shock grenades SOOO MUCH)
Yeah was definitely a nice experience because I have only played the level 24 strikes and there you can basically run around meleeing enemies without trouble. It kinda was strange to suddenly die on the first dreg we´ve encountered because I meleed it and my usual spot on the balcony wasn't that useful either. Anyway it was also kinda sad that we had to rely on such strategies because these mobs were dangerous even to your level 27 warlock (which shouldn't be that way).
Oh and I´ve had my headset on the hook to recharge but I did hear you guys through my TV (standard excuse I know ) Hopefully the weekly heroic on thursday isn't going to be Phogoth (I hate that motherfucker).
Right? lol I need to find 2 for the level 28 nightfall now. Ohh suicidal MMOC guys heed my call!
Did a pvp match early'er and everyone got a reward but me.....fuck this rng.
I have done decided if something dosen't change come tomorrow's release of the raid I'm done with destiny. The rep grind and the rng is just insane and I can't be asked anymore. I have dropped a insane amount of hours into the game to recieve so little.

Have you seen what two defender spec Titans can do with 2 shields and 2 shotguns to a boss?
Again all this talk about the game being bad - I just don't see it. It's the first console shooter with a carrot. Completely boiled down all shooters are repetitive and the story becomes completely irrelevant after however long it is (5-10 hours). Who cares if it's good? It's probably 2% of your gameplay! In every shooter you find yourself behind the same cover, shooting at the same enemy with the same weapon numerous times, throwing grenades at the same time during the same levels or pvp maps - no matter what you are playing - against people or NPCs.
But this game gives you a reason! A fucking reason to keep going! There's never been a reason to keep playing a shooter! Ever! It's that simple really, if you like shooting things, this game gives you a reason to keep doing it. What's the problem? I agree with whoever said that an arsty game that's 5 hours long gets perfect reviews while something that is "mindlessly fun" for 10x that can get a bad review. I do view gaming as more quantitative than qualitative because I like to get my money's worth. When you folks start off a negative review with "I played for 30 hours, so I know what's what", I just roll my eyes because i'm thinking - If you played anything else on a console for 30 hours you'd be on your third game. I view the campaign as a bonus, still much better than other mainstream shooters that focus on multiplayer. I view this game as just having your cake and eating it too. I think people still forget a shooter is a shooter.
You guys play World of Warcraft for god's sake. If anyone should understand the delight in having a "carrot" and forsaking more visceral or interactive gameplay, it's you all. Saying that any current shooter is as good as destiny is similar to me saying Skyrim is better than WoW. No shit Skyrim "plays better", but that's not the appeal.
Now that being said - I don't have TV . So i wasn't exposed to the "hype". It seems like more people are more upset about the hype twisting expectations than the actual game.

Legendary Heavy Weapon Engram just decided into Gjallarhorn.
I just screamed.
I somehow have both an exotic weapon and armor piece already.
Apparently I should just quit WoW and play Destiny considering how shit my luck with RNG is in WoW.

Arc blade can also be used from range.
Sends out a shockwave with every swing like the Titan Smash.
Yup, well THAT is RNG at it's best. bungie trolling hard xD
Last night I had a game where everyone was above K/D of 2.5 except for two guys (around 0.3) who both got a FREAKING LEGENDARY ENGRAM... the other ones, well... all we got was the good feeling of a positive K/D and some glimmer :P
Loved Mass Effect to death - played each one once and I was done, maybe 25 hours each?. Why would I play it again? I experienced the story already. That thrill is only happening once. Goes on the shelf. I need a reason to keep playing something over and over and Destiny (similar motivation to WoW) gives me that in PVE and PVP.

87Octane has a good point, he isn't saying ME, HL and Bioshock are bad games.
I'm extremely disappointed with the story in Destiny, but end of the day it doesn't really matter as the gameplay is solid and I like the carrot on a stick to keep me playing.
A great story doesn't make me replay a game as I already know what happens.
I do wish the story was better and my character had some personality, but they have the important factors down to keep me playing.
