isn't the lore officially done now with diablos death? how would an expansion or diablo 4 make any sense for that matter? just a question

Milk was a bad choice.

In video games everything is possible.
Just like TV series, books or any form of imaginary fiction. Btw no sane person plays a arpg for its story anyway.
It is like playing a board game dungeon crawler like Castle Ravenloft: you battle monsters en mass together with friends and try to survive (hardcore mode) as long as possible.
Simple.
D3 is a dress-up game. The object of the game is to collect gear. It's just a very elaborate Barbie game.
If you played the game, at the end after you kill Diablo, you can see the Black Soulstone intact and falling through the sky. The Black Soulstone holds the souls of the 7 Evils, including Diablo's. Also, you have Malthael still wandering Pandemonium, Imperius is probably pissed because of all that happened, and Adria is still alive. There is a lot Blizzard can do for another expansion and it's story. Adria finds the black soulstone, probably could use Imperius' body as a vessel and have the super awesome angel-demon :P WHO KNOWS!
we killed diablo in diablo 1, we killed diablo in diablo 2, we killed diablo in diablo 3, we'll kill him again in diablo 4
I totally thought this thread was going to be about the lackluster handling of D3 and not lore. Anyway I am sure they will have a D4 I just doubt they will get many sales on the coattails of D3, so D4 will probably have to prove it is a good game before people make the jump.
Spoiler alert?! jk
Wow <3 Korra<3 Giants<3
There's going to be at least one expansion, but I don't know if they'll ever make a Diablo 4. It's possible, I suppose, but I kind of doubt it.
You know this is the third time he's died right? Third time's the charm?
But yeah I think there's quite a lot of plot threads dangling, Adria is a big one.

What problem specifically does D3 have?

So why are you hanging around on an MMO website?
I honestly don't think it is much of a problem. I was just joking around with the person who made the statement.
If we are speaking honestly about problems, D3s bigger problem is with how people obtain gear in the game through the AH instead of through the game and hence making loot drops a lot less exciting than D2, which they are fixing for consoles so at least they get a good game.
Remember at the end, you see the soulstone drop... you don't see where it goes, maybe someone picked it up and decided to shove it in their forehead again... but this time not to try and seal/control it.
Diablo 3 didn't wrap up the plot at the end. It left a whole lot of loose ends.
Not to mention the fact that Diablo's died before.
