Ever wanted to do something daring or risky?

Have you guys ever wanted to do something (not illegal) where you just wanted to get out and do something that maybe isn't the normal thing to do??

For me i want to go Tornado chasing...ever since i was a kid, i've been fascinated with tornadoes and i'm currently in the process of gearing up to go chase tornadoes

I have Doppler Radar programs situated on my laptop, fixed my car for laptop usability. have my professional DSLR camera out, and now just waiting for tornado season to start. I live in California so i gotta do some driving to get in on the action

Just wondering if anybody else has crazy or risky things they always wanted to try out?

I once dared a friend of mine to switch t-shirt in classy cafe, staying barechested for a couple of seconds. He did it.
That's about the craziest risk i've seen anyone taking in my life.

(It was all of us member of our lab celebrating he had got a very good contract in Sweden, and we had bought him a t-shirt as a gift. The café was part of a 5-star hotel.)

Tornado chasing has to be the riskiest thing I want to do. I otherwise am a very "I care about my life" type of person. lol

I hate the idea of going up into space, I hate falling, I hate heights, I hate being upside down, I have a phobia of deep water from a near-drowning event...

Have other stuff i find daring and interesting that i shall try out some days, collecting the items needed atm! only need courage and practice in the end.
Good results would be having a blast doing ''that'' and finding a new hobby in the process.
Worst results would be public humiliation and that ppl recognize who i am. but not life at stake at least.

Iv got a skydiving certificate, i ride downhill, i skate downhill. I want to bungie jump, never done that. Will probably do that as i go to New Zeeland, the nature+the jump + higher jump then they do here.

Iv wanted to get in a fight vs 2-3 people at once for a while, simply because i want to see what i can handle. Problem is i am to calm and friendly as a person to make the fight happen but whenever some jackasses acts tuff during weekend i allways try to trigger them and make them come at me. I used to be one aggresive MF when i was a kid being able to just go in to "hulkmode" and everything pretty much went black for a while, i want to get into that state agian for some reason. No one ever goes for that initiation on me thought... friends say that i come across as that person who wont stop fighting until im dead and thats probably why.

I sound like a fucking jackass when reading this.... confession? Anyhow, it is what it is.

(I dont wanna come of as one of those guys asking for fights/ being aggresive, i just calmly ask them to make action of thier words ect when they start rolling thier mouths)

Depends a bit what you call risky.
I've done a lot of things, but not that many i find actually risky. It's not like you're in danger of dying from bungeejumping, parashooting or the like.

Guess the most risky things i do and have done is when i ski, where i love to go at high speed, since it actually can be pretty messy to fall, and slide into a tree or something other fun.

It's not really like we're doing a lot of dangerous things thee days. A favorite thing for me is to go in in snowstorms during the night, when i can be all alone, and enjoy the nature, but it's hardly risky.

Tornado chasing might actually be it though, but not something that interrests me personally, so i'm safe and sound here ;D

Why spend your life wanting to do something, just do it (ok, not a good slogan just now considering the nike ads with pritorious in them!).

Tried bungee, skydiving, but not really all that much of a rush to be honest, its a bit tame really. Though base jumping looks interesting, pulling the cord at the last possible second.

Would love to try wing suits, that vid looks awesome, you could just tell he was going to have a massive grin when he took off the helmet. I race motorbikes and the buzz when you know you just pulled off a move that if you'd made even the slightest error would have killed you is amazing.

i think its cool to see that some other posters also share the same drive to go tornado chasing. it has been one of the most desirable things i've been wanting to do since i was a young kid.

4 risky things that I would absolutely love to do, but would scare the crap out of me more than likely (afraid of heights). Would love to skydive, would love to try out the wingsuit, would also love to hang-glide. And the greatest one is to go into space and see the world and everything out there.

My absolute greatest wish is actual personal flight. But I don't see that happening in my lifetime to where I can make use of it. The thought of flying above it all and being completely free just really does it for me.

Personal flight, do you mean like an aircraft or what?

I've done bungeejumping, it was a real kick. I would like to try skydyving aswell sometime in the future, as for other and more unrealistic things (mainly due to $$$) I could go for a trip in a fighter jet, a trip to space or even racing a formula one card at full speed around a track.

So I've done a lot that you may consider risky:

Sky diving
Bungee Jumping
Zorbing
Jetskiing over giant wakes (think following tugboats , that's a huge wake)
Skiing fast (clocked myself at 76 kph the last time I went)
Longboard (haven't really pushed my limits on this yet, need to find a good hill that goes for kilometers with little traffic)
I drive a 2010 Mustang GT on a drifting circuit (if things go wrong, they go very wrong)
Along with driving the Mustang, I race a MX-5 at AutoCross competitions
I travel a lot (been to 29 countries so far, if you know what it's like to backpack, you can understand it's risky)
I have my pilots license, some of those maneuvers are fairly risky (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsgH7GVN5xQ)
Got upclose and personal with tigers while traveling.
Tried a handful of drugs (not my thing but tried it)
Oh and unprotected sex... that's the riskiest one right there.

I've done plenty of daring and risky things. I don't feel the need to seek out more simply because they're daring or risky. I may do them because they're fun (like sky diving), but I've slept in the jungle in areas I knew lions were eating people before, I've jumped across the mouths of waterfalls, I've spent way more hours in helicopters than I ever felt the need to, I've been exposed to areas with nasty tropical illnesses, I've killed what the natives said was a Black Mamba with a shovel, I've helped to put out wild fires with rakes and sticks, I've gone into a remote African village alone to tell them they didn't have jobs anymore, I've gone rapelling, and kayaking, and rafting, and SCUBA diving, and spelunking. I've done more than enough risk for my lifetime.

Yeah I won't touch that one until I'm really REALLY confident that the woman is safe. Hasn't happened yet.

Risky? no. I don't like scars or injuries at all. High adrenaline stuff? yes! bungee jumping, rafting that kinda stuff. I also love crazy waterslide and amusement park rides.

I want to do skydiving and paragliding. May be this summer I will.
Of the risky stuff I've done was swimming in the sea during a storm. That was a thrill!

Oh, and fell off a boat during a whitewater rafting when passing through a waterfall. Not nearly as scary as the storm in the sea.

Well now that you mention is OP, if there are something i would want, its chasing storms or natrual disasters. Nature is powerfull and beautiful.. <Druid IRL

As for skydiving etc, eeeh i wouldnt say no if someone gave it to me as a gift or asked me to come. But its not something i would go out of my way to do. Maybe the guys that fly with only their body, as wings.. Wingsuit, that would be awesome.

Damn son. Going/driving carelessly in traffic is about the most risky stuff I've done and that was more due to stupidity. Chasing tornados sounds fun.
