Trying To Play Guild Wars 2

Need opinions on something. I know the minimum requirements to play the game, and I think I know the upgrades to get on my PC to play it. I just need some confirmation to see if I'm right. Before I do, would like a good gaming experience on Guild Wars 2, as for WvW though, I want to play it moderately well, not great but not poor either.

These are my current computer specs:

Motherboard: M2N68-LA (Narra5) Processor: AMD Athlon LE-1640 Memory: 3GB Video Card: nVidia GeForce 6150SE

And these are the upgrades I'm thinking about getting:

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti SSC 1024MB GDDR5 128bit, Dual Dual-Link DVI Mini HDMI, Graphics Card (01G-P4-3652-KR) Graphics Card 01-P4-3652-KR

    Processor: AMD HDX920XCGIBOX Phenom II X4 920 2.8GHz Cache 8MB AM2+ 125W Processor

So, with those two upgrades in mind and my current PC specs, how would Guild Wars 2 play to my liking?

    Processor upgrade information
    Socket type: AM2
    TDP: 89 watt
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:

Athlon 64 X2 with Dual Core technology up to 5600+ (up to 89 watt)
    Athlon 64 less than 4000+
    Sempron less than 4000+
The Phenom won't work on that motherboard, it looks like a really low end HP pre-built so I doubt your PSU can run the 650Ti either.

I'm actually willing to spend anything that's around $300.

nocturnal, ugh, that's what the other guy said to, hoping this wasn't true. Also, were you trying to link me to the motherboard I showed? If you were, that's the wrong one.

But if you were, do I seriously have to buy another motherboard? Man, that's a pain. Would building another PC from the ground up be cheaper instead of buying another motherboard?

Oh yeah it was the wrong one, is it this one then? Still doesn't support a 125W Phenom but it does support some Phenoms.

    Processor upgrade information

    TDP: 95W
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
NOTE: Only socket AM2+ processors are supported with this motherboard.
    AMD Phenom II Quad-Core
    AMD Phenom II Triple-Core
    AMD Phenom Quad-Core (A) 9xxx series (AM2+)
    AMD Phenom Triple-Core (T) 8xxx series (AM2+)
    AMD Athlon X4
    AMD Athlon X3
    AMD Athlon X2 (B) (AM2+)
You could get a Phenom II x4 925 or 945, both are 95W TDP.

All right, and what about graphics card? Would the one suggested be enough to play the game to my liking, as well as the processor you mentioned?

Also, the processor's you mentioned. It looks like they all have AM3 sockets. My motherboard can only support AM2+.

Yes but you need to check your PSU first, it seems from what I've found on Google that you might only have a 250W PSU. This is not good enough to power the upgrades, at least not when it is HP made.

Dang, yep, according to the manufacturer's site it is a 250W PSU. So, in the end, I can either get a new motherboard, or build a PC from the ground up, or is there still something I can do with my current board?

Well you can keep your current motherboard, get a new 400W+ PSU a Phenom II x4 925 or 945 and that 650 Ti.

All right. I'll PM you tomorrow, because I have some more questions, but I have school tomorrow.

Sorry for the double post, can't PM yet. nocturnal, so, instead of replacing my motherboard completely, I can instead just upgrade the PSU, right?
