A benefit of the increased hp is that a rare will live longer making it easier to see one alive and join in on the kill.

God I'd kill for a threat drop on my warrior to do exactly this. But that won't happen.
Some random guy comes up hits it once, then stands back to try and make me do all the work while he waits till it's dead to collect his loot, so I drop threat to push him on top threat so it attacks him, then I help him kill it. Unless he also has a threat drop, highly likely since warriors DKs, uh monks dont have a threat drop, or do monks have a threat drop? I know warriors and Dks definitely dont.
My name is Cernunnos, I will love you like no other, I have died a thousand deaths, each time I died I thought of you.
You could always call out that you're killing the rare.
One asshole trying to grief other people will quickly see their work undone when seven people all wanting to kill the rare come in and start helping.
And that's where the truest victory lies: Disappointing an asshole.
“Do not lose time on daily trivialities. Do not dwell on petty detail. For all of these things melt away and drift apart within the obscure traffic of time. Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead.” ~ Emily3, World of Tomorrow
Words to live by.
I think it's quite sad that the first thing some people think about is griefing...be it because they want to do it themselves or because they are afraid others will do it.
Sad indeed that the community has become so bad.
In my opinion, if Blizzard can pull this off somehow and manages to avoid such problems, this is an awesome change. Definitely.
Not by default. If you invite someone to your group/realm via battle tag yes, they can come to pandaria on your server likewise for you on their's. but If I am standing in the shrine of two moon on one server, and my friend does the same on another server, and we are not in the same group, we cannot see each other in the shrine of the two moons. Or any other zone we pandaria we happen to go to, be it dread wastes, townlong, jade forest, etc.

Well tapping it will generate aggro on the mob anyway, so if the target of your griefing has a way to drop aggro, guess what's happening then???

Only by invite though... not like in the rest of the world where it is automatically done... In Pandaria you cannot come across players from different realms unless they were invited by someone.
it's not too different than the griefing that took place before this change, where someone taunts and resets the mob on you. granted, the latter is more difficult to accomplish, but the point is that you can't really take 100% preventative measures against griefing.

I have been chosen by the big metal hand in the sky!
does not happen in any other MMO which uses this mechanic. Why do you assume that people who play wow are more likely to act like tossers than other gamers?

because its a mechanic that makes people actively dislike seeing other players in what is supposed to be a multiplayer game maybe.....
And nice job on the insult to everyone who disagrees with you there, implying they must have ADD...so mature.
I can confirm I was on the PTR and I hit a rare spawn in a group of three people, the third guy said he was going afk and the mobs health dropped accordingly.
