Nope, same as Saint Georges day, only the paddies and plastic paddies seems to make a big deal out of their Saints day.

Only good thing about saint david's day is that there's plenty of welsh cakes to be eaten! Other than that it's just a normal day. Also, shouldn't the title say Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant Hapus?

I wondered why there was a welsh dragon on google today... but um, why is it holding a piece of celery?

It's a leek, the welsh national vegetable.

Sheep are very attracted to leek, so Wales make sure this plant is always highly available.

Two things a Welshman cannot resist.

Well Happy Saint David day then! Though I always found it quite morbid when we celebrate someone's "day" on their death day.

There's plenty of sheep where I live, just in the human incarnation

This only happens once a year, why are you highlighting it??!!

OT: Happy St David's Day to all our friends in Cymru.

I promise to refrain from making any stereotyped remarks about you until tomorrow, so enjoy your day down the pits, sing a happy song and may all your sheep be bleating long into the night.

When I first saw this I thought it was gibberish. Is that Welsh? Happy saint david's day though.

Countries do have national vegetables ? Damn.. I need to see the list !

Lets hope the germans do not have Sauerkraut as the national one.

And I guess.. happy St Davids day, even if I don't celebrate it or know how to !

Both the same, even most of the Welsh are not fluent in the language.

And even those who are harldy speak it. Then again all you need to do to sound like you're speaking welsh is have a mouth full of phlegm and make the "ch" and "ll" sounds a lot.

We would be celebrating St George's Day and St David's Day like St Patrick's Day if people made them into a raging alcoholic's day where everyone guzzles more booze than they normally do the other days of the year. I swear that's the only reason why we celebrate that day.

Oh, and happy St David's Day. I did get a good laugh about the sheep.
