Making trash fun?

I prefer the ICC style trash, where there's just a ton of stuff to burn down in between boss fights, with some mini-bosses sprinkled in here and there. It made the place feel epic without slowing down the pace too much. Sure, it was mindless, but I felt like the instance benefited from having that mindless fun in between the bigger challenges.

The upside of that was the small change that gave the face roll boredom that you faced in most of that place. With the way it was gated and how long it was out the first 4 bosses were just down right awful to have to do over and over again.
