Origin - is it down? Am I alone with this problem?

For two days now ever since the Origin update, I've been unable to log in. I'm getting told my email or password is wrong. They aren't. They really really aren't.

It's a bit of an annoyance, to put it mildly, since I can't even log in to an offline mode, meaning I can't play BF3 at all.

Honestly I'm more surprised that people actually use Origin.
    Sir Robin, the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot.
Who had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor.
Who had almost stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol.
And who had personally wet himself, at the Battle of Badon Hill.

The problem is that we have to. There's no way around it. I have to log in through Origin to get access.

Ah... Well that explains it then. Since, well, I don't play EA games anymore.

Didn't I see you talking about the new SimCity game?

Yeah... I don't play EA games anymore since Origin was buggy as hell + they took all of their games of steam, and expected me to buy them again at full price on Origin when it came out. There was no way I was going to pay full price for 4-5 year old games.

Yep, I tried it for a few days before dumping it, and the origin it wanted. Though, to be honest, I only picked up SimCity because I was having trouble believing it was as bad as everyone was saying it was. It was.

Or are you talking about the usual back and forth with rhorle? That's posting just for fun.

So do you really need origin for any EA game now?

I actively try to avoid anything EA touches these days. If it's something I really want I won't go all high and mighty about boycotting them because a tiny minority of their customerbase boycotting them will do sweet fuck all. But it will leave a bad taste in my mouth and make me need to obsessively wash my hands for a few hours after I touch the disc.

The thread was about whether or not Origin was down. There's no need for yet another EA/Origin hate thread.

In the future, if you have any connection issues with Origin, check the status page or contact support.
