In Firefox, when you open up an image in a new tab, it will show you on the title bar for that tab what its dimensions are. (Not sure how it works in other browsers, but I'm sure there's a way.)

A good rule of thumb if you can't do that is that if you have to scroll horizontally more than an inch or so, it's too big.

ye but chrome is much faster and they keep my recently closed items so i only need 1 click to be back on the pony forum in the morning. they also have themes and the start up screen has my most used websites
