I actually use this to my advantage. If I get a super-bright-OMG-red dye, I know that on my hair it's going to become a nice, natural auburn, which is what I'm going for. Originally Posted by Chrysia
I'm actually going to experiment with a henna dye after my stitches are out. I know it has to sit a while even for normal people, so I fully expect to be marinading in henna all day long. XD

It's supposed to arrive Tuesday, which means I'll probably wait til the following Thursday (the 18th) to dye it. After all, I need to wait for my stitches to come out, and I'm pretty sure the OB won't appreciate a head full of henna on the 15th. Supposedly it smells really good too, like lemon and rosemary and stuff. I've never used henna before, but it's much better for the overall health of the hair (and probably for my lungs, what with the whole asthma thing), so I figured I'd give it a shot. If it works, it's actually cheaper for me to dye with henna than with regular dye, which would just be another layer of awesome. Originally Posted by Chrysia
