Are Pet Battles still worth doing for leveling up?

I know a few weeks ago there was a bug where pet battles gave incredible amounts of XP and people were leveling like crazy because of it, but that got hotfixed. I got a few characters at 85-86, and a 35 or so monk. Is it worth it to try Pet Battles out to work them up a bit? (I've never touched Pet battles before, but I'm a bit burned out on the aspects of the game I usually do. Anyone level with Pet battles on a regular basis? (Aside from when it was broken)

I still do it for a few of my characters, it's not the fastest way to level by any means, but if you just focus on enjoying the pet battles themselves you'll find you're seemingly getting free XP with apparently no effort.

Just remember you'll get more XP if you're fighting pets the same level as yours, you'll also get more XP if you're fighting a group of 3 pets rather than 1 or 2, pretty common sense stuff I suppose but worth a mention.
