Which one of these iconic game characters would you like to see in ssb4?(Third Party)

Alright here's a few characters, each has appeared on a Nintendo system before.

I'm assuming Super Smash Brothers 4? The one apparently coming up for the Wii U and 3DS? If so, Sonic is already in Brawl, so...

You would be correct, I also believe Sakurai would like to incorporate capcom characters. Which means an increase in likelihood for Megaman and/ or Pacman. As well as some others which weren't included on this threads list.

Here's just a quick sample but there are many sonic games ported to wii and game cube which all included tails and knuckles alongside sonic.



Also Crash and spyro weren't even incorporated into Playstation all stars.

Just to further build upon what you've said. The developers that own the rights to Crash and Spyro actually have a pretty good relationship with Nintendo. Even though Crash is on all platforms it's highest sales come from nintendo, probably has something to due with nintendo's target audience and crash's cartoon nature. Skylanders, which Spyro has been baked into is also a top seller for nintendo, out selling its xbox counter part.

There is also a web rumor that Crash and Spyro weren't incorporated into Sony's Playstation Allstars because the third party developers already signed a deal with nintendo. And part of this deal was not putting the characters into Sony's ssb's clone.

sonic has definitely leaned more towards nintendo ever since sega crashed and burned, what with sonic and mario at the olympic games, and sonic appearing in super smash bros brawl

Crash or Spyro would make me cry because their games have been terrible since they left the PS2.

Megaman could be interesting since he's got 9001 different power ups they could make a move set for.

I feel like Tails is lacking in any kind of hard hits and Knuckles seems like he'd just punch and dig.


I'd kill for someone from Tales of Symphonia though.

basically if a developer begs nintendo to let their character be in the game they will sometimes consider it

Here these characters deserve a shout out, although they won't be in the next ssb's because unfortunately Microsoft either owns or has a very long contract deal with the developer Rare. But here's a shout out to the N64 days, heres a little known fact, Banjo actually had some files, and a trophy in the coding for smash bros on N64, but was removed presumably because this is when Rare didn't sign back on with Nintendo and began its transition over to microsoft. Pretty sure this left a bad taste in nintendos mouth.

Weren't there some Nintendo Games in which Characters of the Marioverse where mixed up with some generic Final Fantasy characters like white mages? I remember seeing an Behemoth Bossbattle.

Anyway, maybe although I doubt so, that could mean that the next SSB could have some final fantasy characters in it.
My Vote would go to Vivi from FF9, I think he would fit just right in~
