    A few things.

Skip the 16gb of ram and get 8gb.
Get a Caviar Blue instead of Black
You could get a smaller, cheaper PSU (I wouldn't bother going over 550)

As for liquid cooling, keep in mind it wouldn't make a huge difference in temps.

Try liquid cooling on a PC that has no real worth anymore (P3/P4).
Do some testing and trying out first before you take the step of liquid cooling your newer parts.

Black is nice if you want a 5 year warranty. Blue has a 2 year warranty if OEM and 3 if a retail kit . If warranty isn't a concern, for sure get blue.

I had my OEM Black die after 2.5 years and had it replaced within a week through WD's RMA service. Super fast and painless.

In which case, get the LP set for the same price. And I chose the Black because It's better performance, that also fits within budget.

Technically, yes, it's better performance... However as a data storage drive, that performance is never actually used. It's like having a 4WD drive capable vehicle but never going off road and using the 4WD mode. The Black's faster read/write will never be noticed for transferring a few files here and there.

Yes, it fits within the budget, but that isn't really a good reason to throw $20 in the trash. Of course, the warranty aspect is valid, but it's very rare for a drive to die in the 3-5 year range. It'll usually die within the first year, or last damn near forever.
