So at GDC 2013, the following video was unveiled by the Unreal guys:
Now, it's fantastic and running real time and all that jazz... However, is it just me, or is anyone else tired of seeing these baseless tech demos, when we still haven't even seen a single game on par with the Unreal 3 Engine "Samaritan" demo?
I'm just hoping that when E3 rolls around, we'll eventually see some actual games in production, with those kind of visuals actually put to use, finally.
- Sited from EurogamerThe new showcase is called Infiltrator, running on a PC utilising a Core i7 CPU matched with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 and 16GB of DDR3 RAM. It's obviously impressive stuff, but the fact is that a Core i7/GTX 680 combo has a clear horsepower advantage over the mooted specs for the next generation consoles. The question is to what extent these demos and this technology can scale across to those platforms.
